The strong lines, confident shapes, and 3D appearance of artist Ted Faiers' 1950s paintings belied the fact that these were flat paintings that few people understood in the Memphis area when they were first rendered. Time has been kind to Faiers and his work, and the late artist-teacher is highly regarded.
