This week we're bringing you an 18th Century Scandinavian Neoclassical Commode from Hastening Antiques, located at 7 E. Washington Street in Middleburg, Virginia. This late 1700s painted wooden commode is highly decorative, with  carved classical details and a faux marble top.

The storage that commodes offer can be put to great use in any room of your house, from entry halls to bedrooms. Look how functional and attractive a commode can be in a guest bedroom, as shown in this scene from Coastal Living's Idea House. The dark commode pictured below does a great job of anchoring the space between the suspended beds and in front of the window.

We think our Scandinavian commode would look beautiful in your home, too.
