Verdict
We love this piece! First, mirrored 1940s furnishings are red-hot right now. It's all part of the Hollywood Regency revival of glamour pieces for the home, and this fills the bill. Mirrored surfaces make an accent piece like this something special (just don't go overboard with mirrors, please; avoid the bordello look), and the pinky-salmon colored mirror gives this piece a special oomph. The carved decorations are over the top, in classic Italian style, so if you're into a piece that's great fun, snatch this up.
The petite size of this piece is also a charming factor in its favor. It would look great in an entry hall, and would make an excellent bar setup - catch your guests just as they're arriving; have this mirrored bar working all night for you, serving your guests with their drink orders. Or use this in a master bedroom suite as part of the amenities in your oasis, spa, getaway retreat - adult drinks to pass the evening hours while the youngsters prowl the rest of the house during their sleepover.
