Rockingham Rococo
We're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.
Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.
This week we're bringing you a Pair of Rockingham Vases, beautifully crafted British porcelains from around 1840, just before the famed Rockingham Pottery works closed. These numbered cornucopia-style vases, in an exuberant British interpretation of rococo, are from Glenbrook Antiques, located at 8 Tannery Brook Road in scenic Woodstock, New York.
These vases are meant to hold beautiful flowers, like the craftsmanship glass vase holding peonies (below) in the living room of a Bedford, NY home designed by Jeffrey Bilhuber.
We think our pair of porcelains would look great in your home, too.
