Boudoir Babes

BB.gifWe're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.

Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.

This week we're bringing you a Pair of French 1940s Boudoir Chairs, from our dealers at Vent d'Est, located at the Antiques Design Center, 240 West 21st Street, in beautiful Norfolk, Virginia. They specialize in fine French and Continental furniture, and this pair of glamorous chairs has an impeccable provenance, coming from the estate of actress Tilda Thamar.

These chairs would look lovely in a bedroom or dressing area, like the use of a single armless dressing chair in the room below, a French-inspired Bay Area dressing room from iconic designer Barbara Barry.

We think our pair of boudoir chairs would look great in your home, too.

For a more in-depth discussion about Tilda Thamar and these boudoir chairs, see my By George! interview with Design2Share. And visit Bond & Bowery for the item detail page on these glamorous 1940s items.
